Get Your Flu Shot – Protect Yourself and Your Family
Influenza (flu) vaccination protects people from flu and flu complications. Pregnant people, young people, individuals 65 years and older, and people with chronic health conditions like asthma, heart disease, lung disease, and diabetes are at increased risk of serious complications from flu. Flu vaccination can protect both pregnant people and their babies from flu and flu-related complications. See the Figure below. CDC recommends everyone six months and older should get an annual flu vaccine. Do not delay. Get your flu shot and protect yourself and your family from flu and flu complications. The Institute for Population Health (IPH) has the flu vaccine available at 9053 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Call 313-309-9350 ext. 2 to make an appointment.
