Fight Influenza – Get a Flu Vaccine
The three actions to take to fight influenza (flu) include getting a flu vaccine, taking preventive actions to reduce the spread of germs, and taking flu antiviral drugs if your doctor prescribes them. See the Figure below. The yearly flu vaccination is the most important action to protect people from flu and its serious complications. Flu vaccination protects people from flu and reduces their risk of severe flu illness, hospitalization, and death. CDC recommends everyone six months and older should get an annual flu vaccine. Protect yourself and your family from flu and its serious complications. Get yourself and your family vaccinated.
