IPH’s Primary Care clinic provides STD education, testing and treatment. Tests offered by the clinic includes those which detect syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginosis, and HIV. Clients visiting the walk-in clinic are seen in an efficient manner such that they typically experience minimal wait time. By implementing state-of-the-art screening and treatment methodologies such as rapid HIV testing and urine testing, we are better able to serve our clients. In addition, IPH began offering routinized HIV testing in the clinic as the standard of care. This resulted in an increase in the HIV testing rate from 60.1% (2012) to 71.1% (2013). Our staff prides itself on it’s commitment to providing quality service to the residents of Southeastern Michigan.
